Before the North American leg of the Mathematics tour kicked off, Ed surprised fans with pop-up gigs in New York and Dallas. He performed the classics as well as songs from the ‘Subtract’ album on top of a Volvo in Soho, New York. He then delighted fans in Dallas with ice cream treats and a soulful performance atop of the ice cream truck.

The tour officially kicked off at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, where his first stadium show captivated over 60,000 fans. And just when you thought it was over, the weekend ended with a bang as Ed took to a double-decker tour bus for another pop-up show in LA!

From humble beginnings to conquering the grandest stages. Flashback to 2013. Ed serenaded a cozy crowd of just over 3,000 at Bayou Music Center. Fast forward to the present, and behold, the magnitude of the stadium as he takes on his biggest show ever in Houston!

Opener Khalid brought a surge of energy to the show, and as the spotlight shines on him, Ed creates an unforgettable moment in the city that embraced him from the beginning.

Before his Tampa show, Ed Sheeran surprised students at Middleton High School by dropping in on their big band practice. The students were in the midst of rehearsing his hit song 'Eyes Closed' when Ed arrived. After their performance, Ed thanked the students before handing them their very own Sheeran By Lowden guitars and free tickets to his Tampa show!

Ed made a pit stop at a brewery in Atlanta where he served up complimentary beers to patrons in the beer garden. He took to the stage and transformed the brewery into an impromptu concert hall, treating everyone to his acoustic magic.

Ed then went on to play in front of 76,000 fans in the legendary Mercedez Benz Stadium, once again etching his name into musical history by breaking another ticket record!

Venturing into Philly, Ed took on an exciting challenge: mastering the art of crafting the iconic Philly cheesesteak! Staff and customers at Philips Steaks were more than impressed with Ed's attempt at the signature Philly sandwich.

But Ed's journey didn't stop at the kitchen. He went on to perform in front of more than 77,000 people at the Lincoln Financial Field - the most heavily attended concert at The Linc (ever)!

In an electrifying point of his journey, Ed seized the grand stage of the MetLife Stadium, delivering an unforgettable performance in his biggest ever USA show. The magnitude of this achievement was not lost on Ed, who vividly remembered his humble beginnings.

From a modest gathering of 130 at the intimate Mercury Lounge in 2012 to playing in front of a record-breaking 89,000 fans at the MetLife stadium, he had travelled an extraordinary path which added an extra layer of resonance to every note he played.
June 17 - 18
Ed took Toronto by storm, delivering three unforgettable performances. The first was a captivating Subtract show in a historic theater, followed by two sold-out stadium shows. Canadian sensation Shawn Mendes made a jaw-dropping appearance alongside Ed on stage. This was Shawn's triumphant return to the spotlight after a hiatus of a year and a half. The stadium's electric energy hit him like a lightning bolt, leaving him in awe and, honestly, a bit shaky from the sheer intensity of the crowd!

Ed surprised everyone by getting inked with a new tattoo, and unexpectedly crashed a food festival, infusing even more flavor into his time in Toronto!

The stage was set at the colossal FedExField Stadium, where Ed was his own opening act that weekend.

During the show, Ed had an adorable encounter with a mini-me lookalike, creating a moment that led to dreams coming true as they met backstage.
June 30 - July 1
Ed Sheeran made a surprise appearance at Tobin Community Center in Boston, where young musicians from the Boston Music Project were giving an outdoor performance. He joined in on the performance, and even gifted a signed Sheeran Guitar to one of the young musicians!

Ed went on to play two sold out shows in the Gilette Stadium in Foxborough, where he was joined on stage by John Mayer.

During his time in Pittsburgh, Ed prepared and served some pizzas to fans in Caliente Pizza & Drafthouse.

Ed later took the stage for what would be his biggest and most unforgettable performance in Pittsburgh to date!

Ed's show in Detroit was absolutely unforgettable. The entire Ford Field stadium erupted with excitement as he welcomed Eminem to join him on stage. This was an incredibly surreal moment for Ed as he shared the stage with his childhood idol.

In his own words, this was truly a moment he will never forget, a real career and life highlight!

Having spent two years of his life living in Nashville, this city held a significant spot in Ed's heart. One of his favorite spots was Santas pub, and he decided to swing by for some karaoke and beer. And to top it all off, he managed to break the attendance record at the Nissan Stadium!

In Chicago, Ed took a turn serving hot dogs at Wiener Circle, a famous spot renowned not only for its food but also for playfully insulting their customers! Ed went on to make history by breaking the attendance record at Soldier Field during that same weekend.

Adding a touch of mystery, Ed teased his next album in a caption beneath his post following his Chicago show: "Autumn is coming, tell a friend.." 👀

The first time Ed performed at Arrowhead Stadium, he was the opening act for the Rolling Stones. Back then, he only hoped that he would eventually come back to take the stage as the headliner. That hope turned into reality!

During his show in Kansas City, Ed also had a special privilege: he got to announce the gender of his fans' baby!

During his time in Minneapolis, Ed made a fun visit to the Mall of America where he not only worked at the Lego store but also treated the audience to a performance of "Lego House". On top of that, he set yet another attendance record by selling an impressive 72,000 tickets!

Ed also left clues around the stadium hinting at his upcoming album release...

Colorado had more in store for Ed beyond just music. He made sure to check out one of the state's most famous attractions: Casa Bonita.
Following that adventure, he played another major stadium, setting yet another ticket record with a staggering 85,000 fans in attendance!

In the vibrant city of Seattle, Ed graced a cozy, intimate theater with another Subtract show. But that was just the warm-up!

Next, Ed took his musical magic to the grand stage of Lumen Field, where he had a special surprise in store. None other than Seattle's very own hip-hop sensation, Macklemore, joined Ed on stage, creating a euphoric atmosphere in front of the hometown crowd. The energy in the stadium was nothing short of electric.

Vancouver was treated to another Subtract gig, but the real kicker came when he hit the stage at BC Place for a stadium show that shattered more attendance records!

Ed's American journey kicked off in 2010 at Inglewood's Savoy, with just 50-100 fans in attendance. Fast forward to the present, he played the SoFi Stadium, drawing a whopping 81,000-strong crowd and, unsurprisingly, smashing attendance records once again. Ed vividly recalls that 2010 gig, and the SoFi Stadium show ranked among his Mathematics Tour favorites!
